The 11th edition of the conference is taking place from 6th to 8th October 2009 in The Hague (Netherlands). The non profit organization TeleTrusT Deutschland e.V. organizes ISSE conjointly with the British organization eema (Independent European e-Identity & Security Association) and ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency). The competent partner on site will be the municipality of The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government.
Since the foundation of ISSE in 1999 TeleTrusT has been coordinating the Program Committee and has been compiling the program for the 3-day conference conjointly with 28 well known European experts. Attracting some 500 participants each year the conference with integrated exhibition belongs to the most important IT-Security events in the world.
?The ISSE is still the only independent and interdisciplinary platform where IT-Security experts can identify both European concepts and strategies and discuss them with important decision makers from industry, politics and research?, says Professor Norbert Pohlmann, chairman of the ISSE Program Committee and chief executive officer CEO of TeleTrusT e.V.
Interested speakers can still submit presentation proposals until March 30th. Detailed information on the submission process, a complete topic list as well as further information on the conference can be found in the Call for Contributions: http://www.teletrust.org/…

The purpose of the non-profit organization TeleTrusT Deutschland e.V. is to create trustworthy and reliable conditions for the application of information- and communication technologies. Since its foundation in 1989 the association developed into a widely known and respected competence network for applied IT-Security in Germany and Europe. Today TeleTrusT represents more than 85 members from industry, science and research as well as administration.
In different project groups the members discuss current questions in IT-Security and Security Management and benefit from the mutual know-how exchange. The European Bridge CA, a project conducted by TeleTrusT, already provides more than 700.000 public-key-certificates of the associated participants for secure E-Mail communication in the Internet. With the T.I.S.P.-Certificate established by TeleTrusT experts are able to get an attestation of their profound knowledge in IT-Security.
TeleTrusT seeks and cultivates the cooperation with other organizations of similar aims. In this context international conferences are coorganized (e.g. ISSE) and the presence of German companies at important events (e.g. BSI-Congress, CeBIT, IT-SA, RSA Conference in San Francisco) is supported. www.teletrust.de
