Munich (ots) – At this year’s Intersolar, the Austrian solar lighting specialist HEI introduces its latest lighting model “Mira” to the expert audience. Mira provides a remarkable illuminance of up to 4,300 lumen and a fully into the light pole integrated photovoltaic-module, setting new standards in terms of design and performance of solar outdoor lighting.
With the introduction of Mira, HEI continues its consistent and revolutionary way in developing self-sufficient solar lights for the product family hei solar light[TM]. Mira has especially been designed to suit the requirements of street light applications. The lengthwise aligned light distribution of the model Mira allows efficient lighting due to high illuminance, whereby the relevant lighting standards are met.
Dieter Hornbachner adds: “The times when solar lights were used for niche markets only, are definitely over. Due to the remarkable economic efficiency, self-sufficient solar lighting solutions will continuously replace conventional lighting systems in many application areas.”
The key feature of hei solar light[TM] is the world’s most outstanding, highly efficient and patent-pending photovoltaic-module. This exceptional technical innovation allows the extraordinary appearance of the lighting family and ensures an optimal energy supply. hei solar light[TM] is also suitable for locations with moderate insolation.
Hornbachner underlines the cost-effectiveness of self-sufficient solar lights: “Costs for trenching the cabling and the rearrangement of surface, which can add up to 80 % of the investment cost of conventional lighting systems, can be avoided. Zero CO2-emissions and a considerable relief for the budget of public and private investors are further benefits of solar lights.”
