Köln (ots) – The CIVIS Media Prize for Integration and Cultural Diversity in Europe will be presented on 26th May 2011, by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Christian Wulff, and the President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, at the Foreign Office Berlin. 19 radio and TV programmes are nominated for the 24th prize-giving of the renowned European media prize. There were 690 entries from 22 countries in the European Union and Switzerland in the 2011 European competition. The prize is endowed with 40,000 Euros. The European CIVIS Media Prize is organized by the CIVIS Media Foundation for Integration and Cultural Diversity.
European CIVIS Online Media Prize – Winner is “dastandard.at” The Online Media Prize was presented on 14th April 2011 in Berlin. The winner was Gerlinde Hinterleitner. Also nominated were the online platform of Biber Verlagsgesellschaft “dasbiber.at” and the network of Gesellschaft zur Vernetzung von Kulturmedien “eurozine.com”.
