(pressebox) Jena, 27.02.2009, Carl Zeiss is sending its latest microscope systems on a tour of universities and institutes throughout Europe. The ZEISS on Your Campus Tour gives microscope users the opportunity to become familiar with the systems and the latest microscopy techniques and methods in several- day workshops and try them out on site.

"As a provider of complex system solutions, we present the latest products and help scientists select the methods best suited to their specific area," says Dr. Thorsten Kues, Director of the Training, Application and Support Center at Carl Zeiss. "At the same time, we are training users to achieve the best possible results." Therefore, learning and using different microscope techniques is a key element of this tour.

The European tour will take ZEISS trucks to 43 cities in 17 countries over a period of seven months. The tour started in Portugal before heading to Edinburgh, Vienna and Karlsruhe.
