(pressebox) Stutensee, 27.04.2009, MSC Vertriebs GmbH launched the DSV211AR Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) of the renowned company KDS Daishinku Corporated.

With the oscillator’s size of 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.72; it is the world’s smallest VCXO. Compared with its conventional 2520 size, the volume is reduced by 44 %, from 0.0041 cc to 0.0023 cc. Additionally the space was reduced by 36% which ranges from 5.0 to 3.2 mm2. The downsizing makes high density packaging possible.

It is perfectly suited for tuner modules for one-segment broadcasting of mobile phones, PCs and automobiles as well as a various other applications.

For securing the frequency adjustment range and expanding of more than +/-110×10-6 minutes, the oscillating circuit IC and the crystal resonator can be adopted. The expansion enables to use the oscillator more easily and at improved performance. The DSV221AR provides a very low current consumption of up to 1.2 mA operating from 1.6 to 3.6 Volt supply voltage.

KDS Daishinku’s Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator is available with an output frequency range at 27 MHz and operates in a -40 to +85 degrees Celsius temperature range.

The oscillator is an environmental responsive product which is lead-free and RoHS compliant.
