(pressebox) Munich, 03.04.2009, The Supervisory Board of the MAN Group has appointed Jörg Schwitalla (48) to the MAN SE Executive Board as new personnel director. Establishment of this new Executive Board post reflects the growing significance of personnel management and the company’s increasing internationalization as expressed by MAN AG’s change of legal form to a European stock company: MAN SE. At the same time, Dr. Mathias Mitscherlich, CEO of MAN Ferrostaal AG, is leaving the Executive Board of MAN AG after sale of the majority of his company.
As a new MAN SE Executive Board member, Jörg Schwitalla will be responsible for all areas related to Human Resources. These include personnel management, personnel development, labor relations and the human resources departments of the business areas as well as of the MAN HR Services GmbH subsidiary. His appointment will be effective as soon as MAN AG’s formal change to MAN SE takes force.
Schwitalla has been active as head of personnel at the MAN Group since June 2006. The business administrator previously held various management functions in production and human resources in the automobile industry. Jörg Schwitalla is married and has a son.Über MAN Aktiengesellschaft
