Reußenköge (ots) – Spring 2011 saw energy company GP JOULE launch a world first – the miniJOULE, the first DIY solar power plant to take the limelight at Booth C2.658, Hall 6 at Munich’s Intersolar Trade Fair on June 8-11, 2011.
The miniJOULE’s inventers’ declared aim is to incite a solar revolution – soon, we will all be in a position to generate some of our own power just by feeding the electrical output from this small solar power plant into the domestic power supply. The miniJOULE consists of just one module mounted onto two metal brackets; you can set it up in a variety of places – such as in your garden, or on your carport or roof terrace. An XS-format inverter transforms solar-generated electricity into alternating current compatible with the mains. What makes miniJOULE unique is that anyone can put it together in no time using the simple assembly instructions – no previous experience required; you only need to call an electrician to hook it up.
A miniJOULE helps cut electricity bills with every sunny kilowatt hour it generates – a worthwhile investment that will certainly pay for itself. In addition, each miniJOULE makes an active contribution to climate protection and a sustainable power supply.
“One miniJOULE on its own won’t have the power to make a difference,” said GP JOULE CEO André Steinau in summarising the miniJOULE mission, “but many miniJOULEs together will. Recent events have shown us just how important it is for us to think ahead towards finding solutions. That’s our strength.”
