KGaA ("FME"), the world’s largest provider of Dialysis Services and Products, today announced, that the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York (Brooklyn) has completed its investigation of Fresenius Medical Care’s North American subsidiaries. The Office informed FME that no action will be taken against the company and its subsidiaries, including Spectra Renal Laboratories, and Renal Care Group Inc. (RCG), which Fresenius Medical Care acquired by merger on March 31, 2006. No allegations were filed against FME or RCG, nor were any fines, penalties, or changes in policy or business practices requested. Fresenius Medical Care and Renal Care Group both received subpoenas in October 2004. Both companies thereafter cooperated fully with the investigation.
