Zapf Creation outsources logistics operation

Roedental, August 1, 2011 – On August 1, 2011, Zapf Creation will outsource its
logistics operation to a proficient and growth oriented partner, D+S warehousing
GmbH located in Roedental. Both partners signed an agreement that provides for
extensive logistical services for Zapf Creation. With the transfer of the
business, the contracts of employees with the logistics company of Zapf Creation
will be handed over to the new operating company with all rights and obligations
that were assumed so far, thus securing jobs for the employees. Real estate and
open spaces remain property of Zapf Creation logistics GmbH & Co.KG and will be
leased to D+S logistic GmbH. With this outsourcing agreement, Zapf Creation
ensures a logistical operation that is designed to perfectly match the company´s
processes, while at the same time freeing up unused resources and allowing for
more flexibility with the use of available logistics capacities.
