On the basis of the authorization of the General Shareholders’ Meeting of W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG on May 29, 2008, the Management Board of W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG (SIN 663739) today resolved to buy back own shares on the stock market. The Company currently holds own shares in the amount of 2.91 % of the share capital and, according to legal provisions, may thereby buyback own shares up to 7,09 % of the share capital. The share capital is amounting to EUR9,000,000.

The acquisition of own shares is dependent on the market environment and can be implemented or terminated at any time without prior notice. The buyback will be carried out under the management of a bank that will make its decisions as to the timing of the stock purchase independently and free from the influence of W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG.

The average purchase price of the shares may not be more than 10 % above or more than 10 % below the average Xetra Closing Price (or if this authorization is based on the Xetra closing price the closing price determined by a system which may have replaced the Xetra System) at the Frankfurt Exchange in the 5 days preceding the trade.

According to the resolution of the Management Board the buyback is limited until May 27, 2009.

W.O.M. WORLD OF MEDICINE AG will regularly provide information on the transactions and the progress of the share buyback on its web site at www.world-of-medicine.com under ‘Investor Relations’.
