Synaxon AG announces preliminary figures for first half-year 2010

Based on preliminary figures, the revenues of Synaxon AG increased by 36.9% to EUR 8,898,000 in the first half of 2010 (prior year: EUR 6,501,000). With EBIT of EUR 115,000 (prior year: EUR 356,000), the Group exceeded its own expectations for the first half of 2010. Against the backdrop of increased investments, especially in online trading, and expected seasonal weaknesses in the second quarter, a negative EBIT figure had originally been expected for the first six months of 2010. As of June 30, 2010, profit amounted to EUR 77,000 (prior year: EUR 245,000). This corresponds to earnings per share of EUR 0.03 (prior year: EUR 0.08). Despite the ongoing investment activities, the Board of Management sticks to its forecast for 2010, which targets an EBIT figure of EUR 0.2 to 0.3 million. If the business performs well toward the end of the year, the earnings may be even igher. Due to the increased trading activities, the Group revenues will continue to increase in the second half of the year compared to the first half of 2010 and compared to the prior year. The complete interim financial report as of June 30, 2010 with final figures will be published on August 31, 2010.
