Contracts/Major Frame Contract for Solar Module Equipment

Garbsen, 22nd December 2011 – LPKF SolarQuipment GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Laser & Electronics AG, has signed a frame contract with a value of approx.
43 million EUR for the delivery of laser systems used in the production of solar
panels. The orders under this frame contract will be reported mainly in the
revenue of the years 2012 and 2013. The turnover with Solar Module Equipment is
shown in the segment Other Production Equipment of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG.

Confidentiality has been agreed with the client about the specific details of
the order.

LPKF Laser & Electronics AG shares are traded on the Prime Standard Index
of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN 0006450000).
