Koblenz (ots) – CompuGroup Medical AG, one of the leading global providers of eHealth solutions, has today entered the market for pharmacy software. The company acquired 75% of the shares in LAUER-FISCHER GmbH. The company is one of the leading and most innovative companies in the market and services approximately 20% of German pharmacies with software- and system solutions. CompuGroup Medical is expanding its coverage by an important component, in order to optimize interdisciplinary healthcare provision processes continually.
LAUER-FISCHER sells inventory management systems, pharmaceuticals databases and management information systems, and has been in this market for 60 years. The company has 470 employees who develop software and system solutions for about 4.000 pharmacies, with a sales volume of 49.8 million euros in 2010. LAUER-FISCHER is characterized by a large potential for innovation and exceptional service: In order to offer ideal support to their customers, the company is constantly in talks with 200 reference pharmacies and maintains 17 branches nationwide.
