(pressebox) Grödig near Salzburg/Austria, 03.06.2009, The expanding AdoptSMT group announced the unification of company names throughout the group. The logo has also been altered. As of now, the Grödig/Austria based European headquarter has changed its name from Adopt Advanced Optimisation GmbH to AdoptSMT Europe GmbH. AlternativeSMT, with locations in London and Scotland, having been acquired in August 2008, has changed its name to AdoptSMT UK Ltd.
The unified naming of the five European companies within the continuously growing AdoptSMT group marks yet another step in the planned further growth throughout Europe, North Africa, Asia and the Middle East.Über ADOPT GmbH
Founded in 1991 by Erhard Hofmann in Salzburg Austria as a software company, AdoptSMT constantly gained a reputation as an excellent source for second hand SMT equipment once they moved their scope of business to this in 1994.
Since then the AdoptSMT Group has proved to be one of the fastest growing enterprises for used SMT equipment with 75 employees. Today they include the headquarters in Austria with more than 6500 m²; AdoptSMT Germany GmbH with 2000m² specialized on Siplace overhauling and service, AdoptSMT Polska Sp. z i.e. with a small Siplace service facility and AdoptSMT Romania I.e. with a sales office.
Since August 2008, AlternativeSMT (now AdoptSMT UK Ltd.) with offices in London and Scotland is part of the AdoptSMT group of companies.
