Brussels (ots) – Bringing together the product requirements of downstream with material, equipment and technology matters, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI Europe) with its special interest PV Group, Solarpraxis AG and Intersolar decided to strengthen forces with the “5th SMET Advanced PV Technology conference” which will be held on Wednesday 27th – Friday 29th May in Munich as a site event of Intersolar 2009.
The basic idea is to create a broader view on the whole value chain: How does the installation and application of pv systems effect the choice of materials and constructions? Which further steps in development can be reached by thinking in markets from day one of a new technology?
The conference will be split in 4 sessions:
Session I: Wafer & Cell Manufacturing! Potentials at the beginning of the production chain! Including Speakers from: Applied Materials, ABB, Jenoptik, Solvay Solexis, Sixtron Advanced Materials, DuPont Performance Elastomers,Singulus Technology, SEMI / PV Group Europe

Session III: Standards & Advanced Process Control! Latest developments in production line integration! Including Speakers from: Q-Cells, Oerlikon, CH2M HILL, Lasertec Corporation, SEMI / PV Group Europe
Session IV: Modules under scrutiny: objective comparisons! Effects & Need For The Production Chain! Including Speakers from: TÜV, Abastrial, Solarpraxis AG, PV magazine / Photovoltaic, Grammer Solar Germany, PV Cycle
