Hukou Township, Hsinchu County (ots) – High Conversion Efficiency of 19.0% solar cell has been achieved and ready to be shipped by BIG SUN Energy recently.

The increased efficiency of the new technology that makes solar cells more economically viable fulfilling rapidly growing energy demands. Therefore, BIG SUN Energy focuses on the production of efficient and relatively cost wise solar cells, introducing state-of-the-art technology application and innovation to products.

Big Sun Energy, today, officially announces a new solar cell product line based on its newly developed 6″ “Combo-Cell”(TM) technology. Combo-Cell(TM) utilizes 6″ Mono wafer with a special shallow emitter junction and a highly anti-reflective surface texturing structure so that the cell External Quantum Efficiency (EQE), short circuit current (Isc) and open-circuit voltage (Voc) can all be effectively enhanced. In addition, by incorporating an optimal layout design for the front electrode, the average solar conversion efficiency for this 6″ Mono cell can reach a level of 19.0%. Based on this newly developed Combo-Cell(TM) technology, the output power of solar module with 60pcs of “Combo-Cell”(TM) can surpass 255W then. This unique know-how of “Combo-Cell”(TM) technology can be used in mass production based on the current equipment sets. No additional investment in capital equipment is required.

BIG SUN is planning to ramp up its production volume for this series of high efficiency solar cells in 3rd quarter of this year. Meanwhile, the sample requesting program of BIG SUN Energy’s high conversion efficiency Solar Cell is ongoing now.
